Starting work on the north wall this morning. That insulation is six inches thick. Twice what’s normal for a warehouse.
This far along it looks like that’s either a very big wall or a very small door.
The skin started going up on the walls this morning.
Now we have two doors up! And a lot of other stuff. Tomorrow those two walls will get skin.
A lot has been done this week, although it’s not as obvious as last week when we suddenly had a roof line. This week they did a lot of work on the roof and wall structures, the water for the fire sprinklers got connected and the pad for the new electric transformer was installed. Next week a good portion of the building will get skin, but it struck me as pretty funny when I drove by at the end of the day today and saw this lonely door…
At the end of a very long day… The rafters are all up and it’s really starting to look like a building.
I understand it was quite a job just unloading the insulation when it arrived yesterday morning. And that’s only the first half!
All the perimeter columns are up and now they’re connecting them with the girts. Kind of looks a bit like Stonehenge, don’t ya think?
They’ve been hard at it this morning!
